| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Angelique Stubbs of Houston was honored for her |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, This gathering recognized 23 students who have |

| 9 | 9 | | distinguished themselves through their academic pursuits and civic |

| 10 | 10 | | involvement; the awards pay tribute to the memory of Reginald Keith |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Guillory, a student, musician, and member of Mount Pleasant Baptist |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Church in Houston, whose tragic death in an automobile accident at |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | the age of 18 prompted area residents to create a scholarship fund; |

| 14 | 14 | | and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, A most deserving recipient of this honor, Ms. Stubbs |

| 16 | 16 | | is the daughter of Trina Joshua and a member of Mount Pleasant |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Baptist Church; recognized as an honor student at Phillis Wheatley |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Senior High School, she plans to study mathematics at Houston |

| 19 | 19 | | Baptist University; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan is an exemplary member of her |

| 21 | 21 | | community and a source of tremendous pride to her family and |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | teachers, and she may indeed look with anticipation and optimism |

| 23 | 23 | | toward the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead; now, |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Angelique Stubbs on her receipt of |
