| 7 | 7 | | Destination ImagiNation competition in Houston on April 3 and 4, |

|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Destination ImagiNation is an international program |

| 10 | 10 | | that promotes teamwork and creative problem solving among students |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | across the nation and around the world; teams compete to find |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | innovative solutions to a variety of educational challenges at |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | regional, state, and national events; the annual Texas state |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | competition is sponsored by the Texas Creative Problem Solving |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Organization; and |

| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Students from Cielo Vista took second place for |

| 17 | 17 | | elementary schools in the Instinct Messaging category; pulling |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | together what they had learned about animal science and theater |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | arts, the students costumed themselves as bees and demonstrated how |

| 20 | 20 | | the insects communicate with each other; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Led by fifth-grade teacher Liz Rodriguez, the Cielo |

| 22 | 22 | | Vista team's members are fourth-grader Alessandra Martinez and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | third-graders Alec Chacon, Avy Ruvalcalba, Alisa Garcia, Miami |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Litton-Palmer, Marcela De La Torre, and Andy Rodriguez; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, The students' second-place win in Houston qualifies |

| 26 | 26 | | them to compete at the Destination ImagiNation Global Finals in |

| 27 | 27 | | Knoxville, Tennessee; they are the first team from Cielo Vista to |

| 29 | 29 | | WHEREAS, In winning this notable honor, these remarkable |

| 30 | 30 | | young people have demonstrated their intelligence, discipline, and |

| 31 | 31 | | creativity, and it is most fitting that they be commended not just |

| 32 | 32 | | for their victory, but for their enthusiasm for learning; now, |
