| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The family and friends of U.S. Army Specialist Tracy |

| 6 | 6 | | Clint Willis of San Antonio suffered an immeasurable loss with the |

| 7 | 7 | | death of this valiant soldier on August 26, 2007, at the age of 21; |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 505th Parachute |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, Specialist Willis lost |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | his life while bravely serving his country in Iraq; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, The son of Wilma and Darryl Willis, Tracy Willis |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | attended O'Connor High School in Helotes, and his talent as an |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | athlete earned him the position of free safety on the all-district |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | team; after his graduation in 2004, he went on to attend East Texas |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Baptist University, where he continued his football career until |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | joining the army; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Our state and nation are fortunate to have young men |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | and women whose love for their country inspires them to military |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | service, yet the tragic death of this young soldier is a sobering |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | reminder of the cost of war; Specialist Willis embodied the highest |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | ideals of the U.S. armed forces, and all who knew and loved him will |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | forever carry him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Specialist Tracy |

| 26 | 26 | | Clint Willis and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | family: to his parents, Wilma and Darryl Willis; to his siblings, |

| 28 | 28 | | Hope, Crystal, Darryl and his wife, Rita, Anjelica, and Aubree; to |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | his niece, Amari Willis; to his grandparents, Cruz M. Camacho, Mary |

| 30 | 30 | | Johnson, and Curtis Wilson; and to his other relatives and many |
