5	5	WHEREAS, Gloria Pizana Caceres has served with distinction in
6	6	the office of State Representative Solomon Ortiz, Jr., since his
7	7	election in 2006; and
8	8	WHEREAS, Active in the Corpus Christi community, Ms. Caceres
9	9	has supported the March of Dimes and the American Heart
10	10	Association, and she has donated her time and efforts to worthwhile
11	11	organizations that promote research for cures and strive to prevent
12	12	diabetes and cancer; and
13	13	WHEREAS, This notable Texan has been involved in politics for
14	14	more than 16 years, serving as a precinct chair, as president of
15	15	Texas Democratic Women, and as an elections administrator; and
16	16	WHEREAS, Ms. Caceres is a valued and trusted staff member in
17	17	the office of Representative Ortiz, and her hard work and
18	18	dedication have helped to ensure its efficient functioning over the
19	19	course of the legislative session; now, therefore, be it
20	20	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
21	21	Legislature hereby commend Gloria Pizana Caceres for her
22	22	contributions and accomplishments as chief of staff in the office
23	23	of Representative Solomon Ortiz, Jr., and extend to her best wishes
24	24	for continued success and happiness; and, be it further
25	25	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
26	26	prepared for Ms. Caceres as an expression of high regard by the
27	27	Texas House of Representatives.
