| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, After winning three state titles at Reagan High |

| 9 | 9 | | School, Coach Jedow moved to Churchill High for the 2008-2009 |

| 10 | 10 | | season, filling the vacancy left by the retirement of the legendary |

| 11 | 11 | | Al Marks; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Rising to the challenge, Coach Jedow led his squads |

| 13 | 13 | | to regional and district titles and very strong performances at the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | state meet; the Chargers girls' team claimed a silver medal at |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | state, and the boys' team finished the season as the fifth-place |

| 16 | 16 | | team in Texas; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Exceptional coaches inspire athletes to perform at |

| 18 | 18 | | the peak of their abilities, and Mark Jedow's commitment to |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | excellence indeed makes him a most deserving recipient of this |
