44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Those young people who give of their time and
66 talents to assist in the demanding work of the Texas Legislature are
77 truly deserving of our gratitude and admiration, and Meghan Kempf
88 is one such individual; and
99 WHEREAS, A native of Austin, Ms. Kempf served as a
1010 legislative intern in the office of State Representative Elliott
1111 Naishtat from January to May 2009, and her commitment, dedication,
1212 and cheerful disposition were much appreciated by her colleagues;
1313 and
1414 WHEREAS, Ms. Kempf is a graduate of The University of Texas at
1515 Austin; she plans to attend St. Mary's University School of Law, and
1616 her hands-on experience with the workings of state government will
1717 no doubt enrich and inform her experience as a lawyer; and
1818 WHEREAS, Although her coworkers are sorry to see her tenure
1919 end, they share her excitement in a future that is bright with
2020 promise; now, therefore, be it
2121 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2222 Legislature hereby honor Meghan Kempf for her service as a
2323 legislative intern with the Texas House of Representatives and
2424 extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
2525 happiness; and, be it further
2626 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2727 prepared for Ms. Kempf as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2828 House of Representatives.
