| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | recognize the Aubrey Independent School District for the vital role |

| 7 | 7 | | it has played in the education of many young Texans; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Located in Denton County, Aubrey ISD serves a small |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | community in North Central Texas and is known as a "great place to |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | learn"; it features Brackett and Monaco Elementary Schools, Aubrey |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Middle School, and Aubrey High School, and its mascot is the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | chaparral; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, A progressive school district that focuses on |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | student achievement, Aubrey ISD has helped its students excel in |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | the areas of athletics, artistic and cultural endeavors, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | agriculture, and civic service, as well as academics, and more than |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | half of its pupils participate in state competitions each year; |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | moreover, the district's efforts are enhanced by the support and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | dedication of area citizens; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Aubrey ISD is preparing its students for the |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | challenges and opportunities of the future, and its efforts are |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | contributing to the greater good of the Lone Star State; now, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby honor the Aubrey Independent School District and |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | extend to its faculty, staff, and students sincere best wishes for |

| 27 | 27 | | continued success; and, be it further |
