R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Cindy Stocking was selected as the 2009 Teacher of
the Year by the Austin Independent School District; and
WHEREAS, A graduate of Abilene Christian University, Ms.
Stocking joined the faculty of Dawson Elementary School in 2005,
and she teaches special education for first and second grade
students; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Stocking has demonstrated an unwavering
commitment to her students' well-being and a deep understanding of
the challenges they confront; she sets high standards for learning
and refuses to accept the words "I can't"; and
WHEREAS, With her inexhaustible resourcefulness and
creativity, Cindy Stocking is making an immeasurable contribution
to the youth in her program and to their prospects for a rewarding
and fulfilling future; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Cindy Stocking on being named the
2009 Teacher of the Year by the Austin Independent School District
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her
important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Stocking as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
