5	5	WHEREAS, Cindy Stocking was selected as the 2009 Teacher of
6	6	the Year by the Austin Independent School District; and
7	7	WHEREAS, A graduate of Abilene Christian University, Ms.
8	8	Stocking joined the faculty of Dawson Elementary School in 2005,
9	9	and she teaches special education for first and second grade
10	10	students; and
11	11	WHEREAS, Ms. Stocking has demonstrated an unwavering
12	12	commitment to her students' well-being and a deep understanding of
13	13	the challenges they confront; she sets high standards for learning
14	14	and refuses to accept the words "I can't"; and
15	15	WHEREAS, With her inexhaustible resourcefulness and
16	16	creativity, Cindy Stocking is making an immeasurable contribution
17	17	to the youth in her program and to their prospects for a rewarding
18	18	and fulfilling future; now, therefore, be it
19	19	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
20	20	Legislature hereby congratulate Cindy Stocking on being named the
21	21	2009 Teacher of the Year by the Austin Independent School District
22	22	and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success with her
23	23	important work; and, be it further
24	24	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
25	25	prepared for Ms. Stocking as an expression of high regard by the
26	26	Texas House of Representatives.
