| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | recognize Moctezuma Zuniga, Jr., of McAllen for his outstanding |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | work as a legislative assistant in the office of State |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Representative Chente Quintanilla; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, "Monte" Zuniga has had an |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | issues facing the citizens of the Lone Star State, and he has |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | brought a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and care to every |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | task; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The son of Moctezuma and Nelda Zuniga, Mr. Zuniga |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | graduated from James "Nikki" Rowe High School, and he went on to |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | attend The University of Texas--Pan American and to study abroad at |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | the Menendez Pelayo International University in Sevilla, Spain; he |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | later transferred to St. Edward's University in Austin and was a |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | member of the pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta fraternity, and he |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | is receiving a bachelor's degree in political science and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | international relations in 2009; this fine young Texan also |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | completed an internship with the Hidalgo County Office of the |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Criminal District Attorney in 2007; and |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | WHEREAS, With skill, perseverance, and dedication, Mr. |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Zuniga has made invaluable contributions to the State of Texas |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | during the current session, and he may indeed look forward to a |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | rewarding future; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | Legislature hereby commend Moctezuma Zuniga, Jr., for his service |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | as a legislative assistant in the office of State Representative |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | Chente Quintanilla and congratulate him on his graduation from St. |

| 32 | 32 | | Edward's University; and, be it further |
