R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to
honor Samantha Dominguez of El Paso for her outstanding work as a
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente
Quintanilla; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Dominguez has
demonstrated enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence in carrying
out all her duties, and her efforts have greatly benefited the
residents of House District 75; and
WHEREAS, The daughter of Nicholas Dominguez and Yolanda
Morales-Dominguez, Ms. Dominguez is an alumnus of Eastwood High
School and of The University of Texas at El Paso, and she has been a
violinist for 10 years; while at UTEP, this fine young Texan
excelled academically and received numerous accolades, including
Pre-Law Student of the Year, and she held such leadership positions
as president of MEChA, vice president of the Golden Key
International Honour Society, and vice president of the Chicano/a
Pre-Law Society; she has also served as a precinct chair for
District 93 and as an AVID tutor; and
WHEREAS, Samantha Dominguez has made valuable contributions
to Representative Quintanilla's office during the current
legislative session, and it is indeed fitting to recognize her for a
job well done; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby commend Samantha Dominguez for her service as a
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente
Quintanilla and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Dominguez as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
