| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | honor Samantha Dominguez of El Paso for her outstanding work as a |

| 7 | 7 | | legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | Quintanilla; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Dominguez has |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | demonstrated enthusiasm and a commitment to excellence in carrying |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | out all her duties, and her efforts have greatly benefited the |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | residents of House District 75; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, The daughter of Nicholas Dominguez and Yolanda |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Morales-Dominguez, Ms. Dominguez is an alumnus of Eastwood High |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | School and of The University of Texas at El Paso, and she has been a |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | violinist for 10 years; while at UTEP, this fine young Texan |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | excelled academically and received numerous accolades, including |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Pre-Law Student of the Year, and she held such leadership positions |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | as president of MEChA, vice president of the Golden Key |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | International Honour Society, and vice president of the Chicano/a |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Pre-Law Society; she has also served as a precinct chair for |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | District 93 and as an AVID tutor; and |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | WHEREAS, Samantha Dominguez has made valuable contributions |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | to Representative Quintanilla's office during the current |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | legislative session, and it is indeed fitting to recognize her for a |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 28 | 28 | | Legislature hereby commend Samantha Dominguez for her service as a |

| 29 | 29 | | legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Chente |

| 30 | 30 | | Quintanilla and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; |
