5	5	WHEREAS, Al Forsythe was reelected to the Mesquite City
6	6	Council on May 9, 2009; and
7	7	WHEREAS, A resident of Mesquite for nearly five decades, Mr.
8	8	Forsythe was first elected to the city council in 2008; he
9	9	previously contributed to the community as a member of the planning
10	10	and zoning commission and as a member of the parks and recreation
11	11	advisory board; and
12	12	WHEREAS, Mr. Forsythe brings to his post extensive
13	13	professional experience as a retired employee of Texas Instruments,
14	14	and in his role with the city council, he strives to provide careful
15	15	oversight of future development and to further the city's
16	16	commitment to a high level of public safety; and
17	17	WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
18	18	life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts
19	19	of Mr. Forsythe are indeed helping to make Mesquite an even better
20	20	place in which to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be
21	21	it
22	22	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
23	23	Legislature hereby congratulate Al Forsythe on his reelection to
24	24	the Mesquite City Council and extend to him sincere best wishes for
25	25	continued success; and, be it further
26	26	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
27	27	prepared for Mr. Forsythe as an expression of high regard by the
28	28	Texas House of Representatives.
