| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hurta has provided valuable support to the |

| 6 | 6 | | office of Representative Diana Maldonado as an intern during the |

| 7 | 7 | | 81st Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Houston to Susan and Bruce Hurta, Mr. Hurta |

| 9 | 9 | | graduated from Lamar High School and is currently studying |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | government at The University of Texas at Austin; his keen interest |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in political affairs is also expressed through his work as a blogger |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | with the Burnt Orange Report; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Hurta has handled numerous responsibilities in |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Representative Maldonado's office; over the course of his |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | internship, he has enhanced his knowledge of the legislative |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | process, and he hopes to return to the Capitol for the 82nd |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Michael Hurta has performed his duties with skill, |

| 19 | 19 | | perseverance, and dedication, and he may indeed look forward to a |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | rewarding future; now, therefore, be it |

| 21 | 21 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 22 | 22 | | Legislature hereby commend Michael Hurta for his contributions to |

| 23 | 23 | | the office of State Representative Diana Maldonado and extend to |

| 24 | 24 | | him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, |
