| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The family and friends of U.S. Army Corporal Scott |

| 6 | 6 | | Alexander McIntosh of Houston suffered an immeasurable loss with |

| 7 | 7 | | the death of this courageous young man on March 10, 2008, at the age |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | of 26; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Corporal McIntosh was killed while bravely serving |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | his country during combat operations in Iraq as a member of the 1st |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Infantry Division, based at Fort Stewart, Georgia; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Born in Humble on February 4, 1982, Scott McIntosh |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | was a valued member of St. Dunstan's Episcopal Church, where he was |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | active in the Senior EYC youth group and served as an acolyte for |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | six years; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, Through his unwavering dedication to duty, honor, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | and this country, Corporal McIntosh embodied the highest ideals of |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | the armed services, and the memory of his love and friendship will |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | be forever treasured by those who were privileged to know him; now, |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Corporal |

| 24 | 24 | | Scott Alexander McIntosh and extend deepest sympathy to the members |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | of his family: to his parents, Alexander and Gwenn McIntosh; to his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | brother, Eric McIntosh; to his grandparents, Patricia Whelen and |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | her husband, Thomas, and Dottie Collier; to his uncles, Lawrence |

| 28 | 28 | | McIntosh, Jr., and Joseph Collier; and to his other relatives and |
