55 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately convey the heartache felt at
66 the loss of U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Timothy Bruce Cole, Jr., of
77 Missouri City, who died on June 6, 2007, at the age of 28; and
88 WHEREAS, Assigned to the 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment,
99 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Staff Sergeant
1010 Cole was killed while bravely serving his country in Iraq; and
1111 WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt to our nation's
1212 servicemen and servicewomen, whose courageous efforts and enormous
1313 sacrifices are deserving of their fellow citizens' deepest respect
1414 and gratitude; and
1515 WHEREAS, Exemplifying the highest ideals of the U.S. armed
1616 forces, Timothy Cole inspired others with his leadership and
1717 courage; although his death leaves a void in the lives of his loved
1818 ones, they will forever carry his memory close in their hearts; now,
1919 therefore, be it
2020 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2121 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Staff
2222 Sergeant Timothy Bruce Cole, Jr., and extend deepest sympathy to
2323 his wife, Lindsay Cole, to his parents, Connie and Timothy B. Cole,
2424 Sr., and to all those who mourn his passing; and, be it further
2525 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2626 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
2727 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of U.S. Army
