| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately convey the heartache felt at |

| 6 | 6 | | the loss of U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Timothy Bruce Cole, Jr., of |

| 7 | 7 | | Missouri City, who died on June 6, 2007, at the age of 28; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Assigned to the 5th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Staff Sergeant |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Cole was killed while bravely serving his country in Iraq; and |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | WHEREAS, Americans owe a profound debt to our nation's |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | servicemen and servicewomen, whose courageous efforts and enormous |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | sacrifices are deserving of their fellow citizens' deepest respect |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | and gratitude; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Exemplifying the highest ideals of the U.S. armed |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | forces, Timothy Cole inspired others with his leadership and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | courage; although his death leaves a void in the lives of his loved |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | ones, they will forever carry his memory close in their hearts; now, |

| 19 | 19 | | therefore, be it |

| 20 | 20 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 21 | 21 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of U.S. Army Staff |

| 22 | 22 | | Sergeant Timothy Bruce Cole, Jr., and extend deepest sympathy to |

| 23 | 23 | | his wife, Lindsay Cole, to his parents, Connie and Timothy B. Cole, |
