H.R. No. 2361
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Idaena Wade has been named the 2008-2009 Teacher of
the Year at Tina E. Whidby Elementary-Montessori School in Houston;
and
WHEREAS, A graduate of the University of North Texas with a
degree in business administration, Ms. Wade was inspired to pursue
a career in education by her parents, who are both teachers; and
WHEREAS, This outstanding educator teaches third grade at
Whidby Elementary School, where she successfully fosters
enthusiasm for learning among her students by providing a
stimulating and enjoyable classroom environment; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wade is also active in her community as a member
of Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Top Ladies of Distinction, and the
Riceville Mt. Olive Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, There is no more important work than the education
of our children, and for 22 years Idaena Wade has made a positive
and lasting contribution to her community by dedicating herself to
that worthy goal; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby commend Idaena Wade for being named the
2008-2009 Teacher of the Year by Whidby Elementary School and
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Wade as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
