44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Taylor Brian Courtney of Boy Scouts of America Troop
66 No. 517 in San Antonio has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and
77 this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and
88 WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant
99 honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the
1010 scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding
1111 criteria, Mr. Courtney earned the requisite 21 merit badges and
1212 successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his
1313 community; and
1414 WHEREAS, The son of Patricia Karen Courtney, this fine young
1515 Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout
1616 his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of his
1717 fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that scouting
1818 offers; and
1919 WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Courtney's dedication to excellence and
2020 his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy
2121 to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with
2222 pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it
2323 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2424 Legislature hereby congratulate Taylor Brian Courtney on achieving
2525 the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for
2626 continued success and happiness; and, be it further
2727 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2828 prepared for Mr. Courtney as an expression of high regard by the
2929 Texas House of Representatives.
