| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Taylor Brian Courtney of Boy Scouts of America Troop |

| 6 | 6 | | No. 517 in San Antonio has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and |

| 7 | 7 | | this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |

| 9 | 9 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | criteria, Mr. Courtney earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | community; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, The son of Patricia Karen Courtney, this fine young |

| 15 | 15 | | Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout |

| 16 | 16 | | his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration of his |

| 17 | 17 | | fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that scouting |

| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Courtney's dedication to excellence and |

| 20 | 20 | | his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |

| 21 | 21 | | to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |

| 22 | 22 | | pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
