| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Russell Lee Weihs of Boy Scouts of America Troop No. |

| 6 | 6 | | 301 in Llano has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |

| 7 | 7 | | accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |

| 9 | 9 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |

| 11 | 11 | | criteria, Mr. Weihs earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |

| 12 | 12 | | successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | community, which involved the construction of the Shannon Kasper |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Memorial Outdoor Learning Center at Llano Elementary School; and |

| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding |

| 16 | 16 | | leadership ability throughout his scouting career, winning the |

| 17 | 17 | | respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the |

| 18 | 18 | | highest rank that scouting offers; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Weihs's dedication to excellence and his |

| 20 | 20 | | perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy to |

| 21 | 21 | | stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with pride |

| 22 | 22 | | on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
