| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned six |

| 6 | 6 | | decades, Carl and Louise Threadgill of Robinson celebrated their |

| 7 | 7 | | 60th wedding anniversary on August 2, 2007; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Carl Threadgill and the former Leta Louise Braden |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | exchanged the vows of matrimony in Waco on that special day in 1947, |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | and over the course of their marriage they have found in each other |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | a devoted life partner; Mr. Threadgill served in the U.S. armed |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | forces during World War II and is retired from the U.S. Postal |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Service; Mrs. Threadgill worked for the regional office of the U.S. |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Department of Veterans Affairs and is retired; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Threadgill count among their blessings |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | a fine family that includes their children, Carleta Reichert and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | her husband, Rick, Susan Shreffler and her husband, Sam, and Philip |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Threadgill and his wife, Terri, as well as five grandchildren, |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | David, Jennifer, Steven, Cameron, and Ryan, with whom they treasure |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | sharing the many special occasions of life; and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Looking back over the past 60 years, Carl and Louise |

| 22 | 22 | | Threadgill can savor a wealth of cherished family memories and know |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |

| 25 | 25 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 26 | 26 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Carl and Louise Threadgill on the |

| 27 | 27 | | occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
