| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | by a great and enduring love, Myra and William R. Casbeer of Waco |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 25, 2007; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Casbeer were united in matrimony in |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | North Dakota on that special day in 1957; through the years, they |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | with the addition of their children, Richard Casbeer and his wife, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Pam, and Ruth Watson and her husband, Bill, and their two |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | grandchildren, Jessica and Chris; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Casbeer answered his nation's call to duty with |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | service in the U.S. Army and retired as director of transportation |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | planning and development at the Texas Department of Transportation |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | after 39 years; Mrs. Casbeer is a retired nurse, and they are |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | longtime members of First Presbyterian Church; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate William R. and Myra Casbeer on the |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | joyous milestone of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it |
