44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
66 by a great and enduring love, Myra and William R. Casbeer of Waco
77 celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on August 25, 2007; and
88 WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Casbeer were united in matrimony in
99 North Dakota on that special day in 1957; through the years, they
1010 have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer
1111 with the addition of their children, Richard Casbeer and his wife,
1212 Pam, and Ruth Watson and her husband, Bill, and their two
1313 grandchildren, Jessica and Chris; and
1414 WHEREAS, Mr. Casbeer answered his nation's call to duty with
1515 service in the U.S. Army and retired as director of transportation
1616 planning and development at the Texas Department of Transportation
1717 after 39 years; Mrs. Casbeer is a retired nurse, and they are
1818 longtime members of First Presbyterian Church; and
1919 WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
2020 half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
2121 in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
2222 has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
2323 grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
2424 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2525 Legislature hereby congratulate William R. and Myra Casbeer on the
2626 joyous milestone of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to
2727 them sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it
2828 further
2929 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3030 prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Casbeer as an expression of high regard by
3131 the Texas House of Representatives.
