44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, The employees of the Community Supervision and
66 Corrections Department in Collin County make vital contributions to
77 public safety through their important work; and
88 WHEREAS, In Collin County alone, the 107 probation officers,
99 caseworkers, and staff members in the department directly oversee
1010 more than 5,000 people serving probation from felony and
1111 misdemeanor courts; and
1212 WHEREAS, Often silent partners, these dedicated public
1313 servants make visits to the homes of probationers and parolees and
1414 serve as problem solvers, crime prevention specialists,
1515 motivators, educators, facilitators, and more; and
1616 WHEREAS, An essential part of the justice system, community
1717 corrections professionals work to promote prevention,
1818 intervention, and advocacy, and their notable efforts benefit
1919 victims, offenders, and the greater community; now, therefore, be
2020 it
2121 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2222 Legislature hereby honor the probation, parole, and community
2323 supervision employees of Collin County for their outstanding work
2424 and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it
2525 further
2626 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2727 prepared for the Collin County Community Supervision and
2828 Corrections Department as an expression of high regard by the Texas
2929 House of Representatives.
