H.R. No. 2447
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Harvey and Zelma Hunke of Robinson celebrated their
65th wedding anniversary on June 24, 2007, and they may indeed
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
and
WHEREAS, Harvey Hunke and the former Zelma Sutton exchanged
the vows of matrimony on that special day in 1942, and over the
course of their marriage, they have found in one another a loving
life partner; the couple are longtime members of Calvary Assembly
of God Church; Mr. Hunke is retired from the Veterans
Administration and Mrs. Hunke is a housewife; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hunke count among their blessings a
fine family that includes five children, Linda McCoy, Harvey Hunke
and his wife, Janice, Janet Lightford and her husband, Glenn,
Charles Hunke and his wife, Bijou, and Fred Hunke and his wife,
Debbie, as well as 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, with
whom they share the many special occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, For more than six decades, Harvey and Zelma Hunke
have brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion,
and it is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Harvey and Zelma Hunke on their
65th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hunke as an expression of high regard by
the Texas House of Representatives.
