| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Daniel Travis Salisbury of Boy Scouts of America |

| 6 | 6 | | Troop No. 491 in Montgomery has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, |

| 7 | 7 | | and this accomplishment is being duly recognized at a Court of Honor |

| 8 | 8 | | on February 7, 2009; and |

| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | criteria, Mr. Salisbury earned the requisite 21 merit badges and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | completed an Eagle Scout project of lasting benefit to his |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | community; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, The son of Michael and Lilia Salisbury, this fine |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | throughout his scouting career, earning the respect and admiration |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | scouting offers; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Salisbury's dedication to excellence |

| 21 | 21 | | and perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Daniel Travis Salisbury on |

| 26 | 26 | | achieving the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best |
