| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Irving Arredondo has been named valedictorian of the |

| 7 | 7 | | this significant honor, he indeed merits special recognition; and |

| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |

| 9 | 9 | | intellect and aptitude, but four years of dedication to the highest |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | academic standards; the student who garners this coveted |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | distinction must demonstrate a thorough understanding of a wide |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | range of subjects, from math and science to language arts and social |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | studies, yet the rewards of the countless hours of study and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | preparation are myriad; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being |

| 16 | 16 | | recognized as the highest achieving student in his class, the |

| 17 | 17 | | valedictorian is frequently the recipient of scholarships and |

| 18 | 18 | | grants; he also gains the opportunity to address his fellow seniors |

| 21 | 21 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Irving Arredondo |

| 23 | 23 | | classmates at South San Antonio, and his exceptional scholastic |

| 24 | 24 | | ability, hard work, and commitment to excellence have surely opened |
