 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Thad Bonduris of Denton completed his master's
 degree in music education at the University of North Texas in
 December 2008, and he is indeed deserving of recognition for this
 admirable achievement; and
 WHEREAS, A San Antonio native who graduated from Robert E.
 Lee High School in 1969, Mr. Bonduris went on to attend San Antonio
 College and earned a bachelor's degree from Trinity University in
 1973; his music studies at the University of North Texas began in
 the mid-1970s, and he returned to take up his master's degree course
 work in 2003; and
 WHEREAS, Mr. Bonduris has been a professional musician since
 1970 and joined the Metroplex music scene four years later;
 renowned for his abilities as a guitarist, he has played in a
 variety of musical groups, leading his own ensembles, the
 Fun-Addix, Fanatix, and Fabulous Echoes bands, and also performing
 with other acts and backing music legends such as Ray Price and
 Ernest Tubb; since 1997, he has headed Bonduris Music Ensembles,
 which provides a variety of musical entertainment for various
 functions; and
 WHEREAS, Skilled and experienced as a music teacher, Mr.
 Bonduris has offered private and group instruction through his
 company, Bonduris Music, since 1982; he has also taught at Hammond
 Music Company, for public schools and continuing education courses,
 and at the National Guitar Summer Workshop; and
 WHEREAS, This talented musician has further demonstrated his
 abilities in the recording studio, serving as a session player and
 producer, and he is affiliated with numerous music and arts
 organizations; in all of his endeavors, he enjoys the love and
 support of his wife, Kathryn, his daughters, Heather and Nicole,
 and his stepson, Jed; and
 WHEREAS, Already well-established in the local music
 community, Thad Bonduris has furthered his knowledge through the
 completion of his graduate studies at UNT, and he may take
 justifiable pride in his degree as well as in the notable career he
 has built over the past four decades; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Thad Bonduris on earning a master's
 degree in music education at the University of North Texas and
 extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
 further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Mr. Bonduris as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
