| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned half a |

| 6 | 6 | | century, Victor and Laurine Poncik of Louise celebrated their 50th |

| 7 | 7 | | wedding anniversary on April 4, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Victor Poncik and the former Laurine Orsag exchanged |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | the vows of matrimony at St. Procopius Catholic Church in Louise on |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | that day in 1959, and over the course of their marriage, they have |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | found in each other a devoted life partner; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Poncik count among their blessings a |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | fine family that includes a daughter, Belinda Bain, and a son, |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Bruce, with whom they treasure sharing the many special occasions |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | of life; and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | WHEREAS, Residents of Wharton County throughout their |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | marriage, Mr. Poncik is a truck driver for Rice Farmers Co-op and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | Mrs. Poncik serves as office manager for Gresham Trucking; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Victor and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Laurine Poncik can savor a wealth of treasured memories and know |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that many |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 24 | 24 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Victor and Laurine Poncik on the |

| 25 | 25 | | occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them |
