44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Stella Mae Nash of Houston has long distinguished
66 herself in her community, and her leadership and generosity of
77 spirit have earned her the heartfelt admiration of all who know her;
88 and
99 WHEREAS, A native of the Bayou City, this esteemed Texan is
1010 the wife of the Reverend James E. Nash, with whom she has shared
1111 half a century of marriage and raised six children; and
1212 WHEREAS, Through the years, Mrs. Nash has benefited her
1313 fellow citizens in myriad ways, and her volunteerism includes
1414 assisting senior citizens and area youth and serving as a precinct
1515 chair; and
1616 WHEREAS, Mrs. Nash has also made a positive difference in her
1717 work with Houston Hope, an organization that builds homes for
1818 individuals in need, and she is a leader in the congregation of St.
1919 Paul Missionary Baptist Church as well; in her free time, she enjoys
2020 doting on her 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and going
2121 saltwater fishing; and
2222 WHEREAS, Those individuals who step forward to share their
2323 time with others are indeed deserving of our profound gratitude,
2424 and it is a pleasure to honor Mrs. Nash, who has enriched the lives
2525 of countless others with her dedicated community service; now,
2626 therefore, be it
2727 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2828 Legislature hereby commend Stella Mae Nash for her many good works
2929 and deeds and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and,
3030 be it further
3131 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3232 prepared for Mrs. Nash as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3333 House of Representatives.
