| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of love |

| 6 | 6 | | and shared experiences, and Carlee and Mary Nelson of Midland |

| 7 | 7 | | celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on May 14, 2009; |

| 8 | 8 | | and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Carlee Nelson and the former Mary Carter were joined |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in matrimony in 1949 in Falls County; through the years, they have |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | been blessed with a treasured family that includes four children, |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Carl, Ray, Jimmy, and Joyce, as well as six grandchildren and six |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | great-grandchildren; and |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Nelson |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | worked many years for Core Labs and Jack Walcher before his |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | retirement, and Mrs. Nelson is retired from the Midland Independent |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | School District; in addition to meeting their career and family |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | responsibilities, they have been valued members of Wayside Church |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | of God in Christ; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Nelson have enjoyed six decades of |

| 21 | 21 | | abiding love and affection for one another, and they are among an |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | commitment; now, therefore, be it |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Carlee and Mary Nelson on the |

| 26 | 26 | | occasion of their 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them |
