H.R. No. 2654 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, A loving family and good friends will long cherish their memories of Harold Lloyd Fox, who passed away on January 16, 2009, at the age of 87; and WHEREAS, Born in Waxahachie on January 10, 1922, to Henry Claude and Louise Fox, Mr. Fox enjoyed a lengthy career as a paint contractor, and he was involved in painting most of the "gingerbread" houses in the county; and WHEREAS, Mr. Fox married Monnie Lea McLemore in 1946, and they shared six decades together before her death in 2007; the couple raised four children, Derrell, Jerry, Debi, and Lloyd, and their family later grew to include 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and WHEREAS, Although he will be sorely missed, those fortunate enough to have known Harold Fox will always remember his dedication to his family and the kindness and generosity with which he lived his life; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Harold Lloyd Fox and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his children, Derrell Fox and his wife, Mickey, Jerry Fox and his wife, Marsha, and Debi Yarborough and her husband, Roger; to his 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Harold Fox.
