44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, A loving family and good friends will long cherish
66 their memories of Harold Lloyd Fox, who passed away on January 16,
77 2009, at the age of 87; and
88 WHEREAS, Born in Waxahachie on January 10, 1922, to Henry
99 Claude and Louise Fox, Mr. Fox enjoyed a lengthy career as a paint
1010 contractor, and he was involved in painting most of the
1111 "gingerbread" houses in the county; and
1212 WHEREAS, Mr. Fox married Monnie Lea McLemore in 1946, and
1313 they shared six decades together before her death in 2007; the
1414 couple raised four children, Derrell, Jerry, Debi, and Lloyd, and
1515 their family later grew to include 12 grandchildren and 19
1616 great-grandchildren; and
1717 WHEREAS, Although he will be sorely missed, those fortunate
1818 enough to have known Harold Fox will always remember his dedication
1919 to his family and the kindness and generosity with which he lived
2020 his life; now, therefore, be it
2121 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2222 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Harold Lloyd Fox and
2323 extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
2424 children, Derrell Fox and his wife, Mickey, Jerry Fox and his wife,
2525 Marsha, and Debi Yarborough and her husband, Roger; to his 12
2626 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; and to his other
2727 relatives and friends; and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
3030 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Harold Fox.
