| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Pedro Diaz IV has provided indispensable support to |

| 6 | 6 | | the office of State Representative Aaron Pea during the 81st |

| 7 | 7 | | Legislative Session; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Pete and Linda Diaz, Pedro |

| 9 | 9 | | Diaz was born and raised in Edinburg; he graduated in 2006 from |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Johnny G. Economedes High School, where he ranked among the top five |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | in his class and served as senior class president; moreover, he was |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | a member of Mu Alpha Theta and the National and Spanish National |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Honor Societies, and he was nominated for a Wendy's High School |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Heisman; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Diaz currently studies government and business |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | at The University of Texas at Austin; a founding member of Longhorn |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | Leaders Serving Christ, he participates in a variety of community |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | service activities; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, By sharing his unique perspective on issues and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | contributing numerous hours of hard work, Pedro Diaz has helped to |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | ensure that the constituents of House District 40 and the citizens |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | of the Lone Star State are well served, and he is indeed deserving |

| 23 | 23 | | of special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby commend Pedro Diaz IV for his contributions to |
