| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Family and friends of Robert B. Borden of Waxahachie |

| 6 | 6 | | were deeply saddened by his passing on January 17, 2009, at the age |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | of 71; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Born in Tyler on January 5, 1938, Bob Borden was a |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1957 graduate of Corsicana High School; he worked with Owens |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | Corning Fiberglas in Waxahachie, retiring after 32 years of |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | dedicated service; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Following his retirement, he and his wife, Bridgett, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | spent 15 happy years enjoying the Texas Gulf Coast area on the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Bolivar Peninsula until they recently moved back to Waxahachie; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Bob Borden was held in the highest regard by all who |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | knew him, and although he will be profoundly missed, he will always |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | be remembered with great affection and admiration; now, therefore, |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | be it |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Robert B. Borden and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife of |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | 30 years, Bridgett Borden; to his children, Robert B. Borden and his |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | wife, Jessica, Brice Borden and his wife, Maven, Trooper Brandon |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Borden and his wife, Katie, and Robert J. Borden; to his |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | sister-in-law, Brenda Graham, and her husband, Bobby; to his |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | grandchildren, Brittney, Benjamin, Brent, Brett, Brock, Peyton, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and Robert; to his two great-grandchildren; and to his other |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | relatives and friends; and, be it further |

| 29 | 29 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
