H.R. No. 2691
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Kari Kuykendall took top honors in two livestock
categories at the Ellis County Youth Expo in April of 2009; and
WHEREAS, A freshman at Midlothian High School, Ms. Kuykendall
is a member of the Midlothian FFA; and
WHEREAS, This impressive young woman earned the first place
ribbon in the competition for European breeds and then won grand
champion overall with her black Angus steer, Forrest, named for the
character Forrest Gump; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Kuykendall has demonstrated outstanding
dedication and ability in raising her champion animal, and she may
indeed take great pride in her hard work and determination; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Kari Kuykendall on her victories at
the 2009 Ellis County Youth Expo and extend to her sincere best
wishes for the future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Kuykendall as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
