 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of
 Claranell Adams Hines of Peaster, who passed away on January 27,
 2009, at the age of 83; and
 WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Clair Hines was born
 in Fort Worth on September 2, 1925; she married John Rivers Hines,
 Jr., in 1948, and over the course of their marriage, they lived in
 Dallas, Monroe, Louisiana, and Waxahachie, as well as in Parker
 County; the couple were blessed with a son, John Hines III, and
 three granddaughters, Jennifer, Leslie, and Amanda, were later
 welcomed into their family; and
 WHEREAS, Mrs. Hines graduated from Texas State College for
 Women and went on to work in the airline, banking, and legal
 industries; the great-great-granddaughter of one of the first
 Norwegian settlers of Texas, she was also a published author for the
 Norwegian-American Historical Association; and
 WHEREAS, Clair Hines will be deeply missed by all those who
 were fortunate enough to have shared in her life, and she leaves her
 family and friends with many treasured memories of time spent in her
 company; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Claranell Adams Hines
 and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her
 son, John Rivers Hines III; to her daughter-in-law, Margaret Hines;
 to her granddaughters, Jennifer Lisette Powers, Leslie Anne
 Funderburk, and Amanda Brooke Collier; and to her other relatives
 and friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Clair
 Hines.
