44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt at
66 the loss of Carol J. Clymore of Waxahachie, who passed away on April
77 11, 2009, at the age of 68; and
88 WHEREAS, Born on September 18, 1941, to Elbert and Eva Brewer
99 in Montebello, California, the former Carol Brewer graduated from
1010 Pacific Christian College in 1965; she married Raymond Clymore the
1111 following year and dedicated her energies to raising her family and
1212 serving her church, where she sang in the choir, led women's groups,
1313 and taught Sunday school; the couple were blessed with three
1414 daughters, Laura, Leslie, and Lindsay, and with the passing years,
1515 their family grew to include six grandchildren; and
1616 WHEREAS, Mrs. Clymore and her family moved to Waxahachie in
1717 the 1980s, and she immediately became active at the First Baptist
1818 Church; she was president of the Baptist Women, taught Sunday
1919 school and Bible study, and was involved with the choir; later, she
2020 attended Waxahachie Bible Church and contributed to the
2121 congregation in numerous ways, including by greeting congregants at
2222 the chapel door; Mrs. Clymore also gave back to the community by
2323 working as a major organizer of Waxahachie Mobile Meals; and
2424 WHEREAS, Carol Clymore lived a caring and purposeful life,
2525 and her legacy of providing compassionate service to others will
2626 continue to inspire her loved ones and all those who had the good
2727 fortune to know her; now, therefore, be it
2828 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2929 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Carol J. Clymore and
3030 extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
3131 husband, Raymond Clymore; to her children, Laura Graham and her
3232 husband, Sean, Leslie Majors and her husband, John, and Lindsay
3333 Marhold and her husband, Scott; to her grandchildren, Whitney,
3434 Taylor, Jordan, Madison, William, and Caroline; and to her other
3535 relatives and friends; and, be it further
3636 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
3737 prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
3838 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Carol
3939 Clymore.
