5	5	WHEREAS, Stacie Kathryn Townsend has been named a 2009
6	6	University of Texas at El Paso Top Ten Senior; and
7	7	WHEREAS, Presented annually by the institution's alumni
8	8	association, the honor recognizes UTEP's most promising graduating
9	9	or recently graduated seniors, who are chosen on the basis of
10	10	academic achievement, involvement, leadership, and service, both
11	11	in the community and on campus; and
12	12	WHEREAS, A truly deserving recipient, Ms. Townsend was
13	13	recognized for her achievements in her field of study, business
14	14	administration, as well as for her talent and success as a member of
15	15	the UTEP softball team; she has been named to the Conference USA
16	16	All-Academic Team and C-USA First Team; she plans to pursue an MBA
17	17	at UTEP; and
18	18	WHEREAS, Stacie Townsend has demonstrated exceptional
19	19	initiative and dedication in pursuit of her academic goals, and her
20	20	notable record of accomplishment surely heralds a bright future;
21	21	now, therefore, be it
22	22	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
23	23	Legislature hereby congratulate Stacie Kathryn Townsend on being
24	24	named a Top Ten Senior at The University of Texas at El Paso and
25	25	extend to her sincere best wishes on the occasion of her graduation;
26	26	and, be it further
27	27	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
28	28	prepared for Ms. Townsend as an expression of high regard by the
29	29	Texas House of Representatives.
