| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, The Texas House of Representatives is pleased to |

| 6 | 6 | | honor Rianna Richardson for her outstanding work as an intern in the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | office of State Representative Debbie Riddle; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Known as "The Tall One" to those who are unable to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | read her nameplate, she was the rock on which the office founded its |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | intern empire; possibly even more opinionated than she is tall, she |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | made clear her opinion on the issue of state-contracted inmate |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | labor less than a week into her employment, perhaps having misheard |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | it as "state-contracted intern labor"; the office's resident |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | conspiracy theorist, she also dug her young and malleable brain |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | into such topics as American Colonialism, enhanced driver's |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | licenses, and the percentage of students on campus who receive |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | artificial tans and the potential cross-section of students who are |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | members of Greek fraternal organizations; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Famously dependent on coffee, Ms. Richardson was |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | perhaps driven by an excess of caffeine to leave sarcastic notes and |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | dirty cups as an expression of her pure disdain for her |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | arch-nemesis, the afternoon intern, Adam, who, to be honest, had it |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | coming; on the other hand, she has developed a genuine friendship |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | with her shift-partner, Natalie, and she is completely devoted to |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | her dog, Gandalf, even though (his name notwithstanding) he doesn't |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | appear to be able to battle Balrogs, cast spells, or blow smoke |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | rings; and |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Rianna Richardson has |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | proven to be an indispensible member of the staff and a pure delight |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | to work with, and it is most fitting to recognize her for a job well |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | done; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | Legislature hereby commend Rianna Richardson for her service as an |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | intern in the office of State Representative Debbie Riddle and |
|---|
| 35 | 35 | | extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
