| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Friends and family are mourning the loss of Cecilia |
|---|
| 6 | 6 | | Trujillo Alvarado of Clint, who passed away on May 1, 2009, at the |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | age of 67; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, The former Cecilia Trujillo was born on February 23, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | 1942, to Abelardo and Aurora Trujillo; she married Nacho Alvarado |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in 1962, and the couple shared 46 rewarding years of matrimony, |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | raising a loving family that included two sons, Al and Jaime, and a |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | granddaughter, Taylor; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Mrs. Alvarado worked as a substitute teacher for the |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | Clint Independent School District and served as an elections judge |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | for more than 20 years; known as "Chila" to those closest to her, |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Mrs. Alvarado believed strongly in traditional family values, and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | she expressed her deep commitment to her spiritual faith as a member |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of San Lorenzo Catholic Church; and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | WHEREAS, Cecilia Alvarado touched the lives of everyone she |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | met, and the image of this devoted wife, mother, and grandmother |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | preparing wonderful meals for her loved ones is among the memories |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | that will forever be treasured by those who held her dear; now, |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Cecilia Trujillo |

| 26 | 26 | | Alvarado and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: |

| 27 | 27 | | to her husband, Nacho Alvarado; to her sons, Nacho "Al" Alvarado, |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | Jr., and Jaime Alvarado; to her granddaughter, Taylor Alvarado; to |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | her siblings, Efren Trujillo, Julie Valenzuela, and Aurora Solis; |

| 30 | 30 | | and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
