| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, During the 81st Legislature, David Puentes has ably |

| 6 | 6 | | served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State |

| 7 | 7 | | Representative Diana Maldonado; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A Round Rock native, Mr. Puentes graduated from |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Stony Point High School in 2007, and he is studying political |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | communication and broadcast journalism at The University of Texas |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | at Austin; his disciplined approach to his assignments as an intern |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | and his ability to excel in a broad range of duties proved extremely |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | helpful to Representative Maldonado's office throughout the 2009 |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | session; and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Puentes has contributed to the workings of state |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | government firsthand; in addition to enhancing his knowledge of the |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | State, he has gained valuable work experience in the field of public |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | service; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, This dedicated young man has performed his duties as |

| 21 | 21 | | a legislative intern with skill and determination, and he is indeed |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |

| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby commend David Puentes for his service as a |

| 26 | 26 | | legislative intern in the office of State Representative Diana |

| 27 | 27 | | Maldonado and extend to him warmest best wishes for great success in |
