H.R. No. 2792 R E S O L U T I O N WHEREAS, Residents of Rocksprings greatly benefited from the dedicated leadership of Evaristo R. Rendon, Jr., during his 13 years of service on the City Council; and WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure in municipal government, Mr. Rendon ably guided the city with an eye to the future, and his knowledge and expertise in a wide range of community issues earned him the respect of many people along the way; and WHEREAS, Mr. Rendon was elected to the council in 1995, and, under his leadership, a new water storage tank was added and a transfer station was constructed to collect trash; his efforts have also benefited the Middle Rio Grande Development Council and Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande; and WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, he has enjoyed the support of a loving family, which includes his wife, Damiana, and his three children, Audrey, Meghan, and Corey; and WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts of Evaristo Rendon have helped to make Rocksprings an even better place in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas Legislature hereby honor Evaristo R. Rendon, Jr., for his committed public service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for Mr. Rendon as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
