| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Residents of Rocksprings greatly benefited from the |

| 6 | 6 | | dedicated leadership of Evaristo R. Rendon, Jr., during his 13 |
|---|
| 7 | 7 | | years of service on the City Council; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure in municipal government, |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Mr. Rendon ably guided the city with an eye to the future, and his |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | knowledge and expertise in a wide range of community issues earned |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | him the respect of many people along the way; and |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | WHEREAS, Mr. Rendon was elected to the council in 1995, and, |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | under his leadership, a new water storage tank was added and a |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | transfer station was constructed to collect trash; his efforts have |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | also benefited the Middle Rio Grande Development Council and |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande; and |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, he has enjoyed the support |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | of a loving family, which includes his wife, Damiana, and his three |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | children, Audrey, Meghan, and Corey; and |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | of Evaristo Rendon have helped to make Rocksprings an even better |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | place in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | Legislature hereby honor Evaristo R. Rendon, Jr., for his committed |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | public service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | success; and, be it further |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |

| 29 | 29 | | prepared for Mr. Rendon as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
