44 R E S O L U T I O N
55 WHEREAS, Residents of Rocksprings greatly benefited from the
66 dedicated leadership of Evaristo R. Rendon, Jr., during his 13
77 years of service on the City Council; and
88 WHEREAS, Throughout his tenure in municipal government,
99 Mr. Rendon ably guided the city with an eye to the future, and his
1010 knowledge and expertise in a wide range of community issues earned
1111 him the respect of many people along the way; and
1212 WHEREAS, Mr. Rendon was elected to the council in 1995, and,
1313 under his leadership, a new water storage tank was added and a
1414 transfer station was constructed to collect trash; his efforts have
1515 also benefited the Middle Rio Grande Development Council and
1616 Workforce Solutions Middle Rio Grande; and
1717 WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, he has enjoyed the support
1818 of a loving family, which includes his wife, Damiana, and his three
1919 children, Audrey, Meghan, and Corey; and
2020 WHEREAS, Each day, public servants improve the quality of
2121 life for their fellow citizens in innumerable ways, and the efforts
2222 of Evaristo Rendon have helped to make Rocksprings an even better
2323 place in which to live and work; now, therefore, be it
2424 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
2525 Legislature hereby honor Evaristo R. Rendon, Jr., for his committed
2626 public service and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
2727 success; and, be it further
2828 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
2929 prepared for Mr. Rendon as an expression of high regard by the Texas
3030 House of Representatives.
