| 10 | 10 | | WHEREAS, Created by Representative Ruth Jones McClendon in |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | August 2004, the McClendon Legislative Service Scholars Program is |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | a collaborative initiative with the UTSA Institute for Law and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | Public Affairs; coordinated by the institute's director and UTSA |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | political science professor Richard Gambitta, the program gives |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to serve as |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | interns in the Texas House of Representatives during legislative |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | sessions; selected by a UTSA scholarship committee based on |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | academic credentials as well as such criteria as good judgment, |

| 23 | 23 | | Menendez, Jessica Castilleja has maintained a 4.0 GPA while |
