H.R. No. 2814
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Sharing a deep bond of love that has spanned half a
century, Wayne and Wanda McWilliams of Grand Saline celebrated
their 50th wedding anniversary on May 15, 2009; and
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. McWilliams exchanged the vows of
matrimony in Irving on that special day in 1959, and over the course
of their marriage, they have found in each other a devoted life
partner; and
WHEREAS, Caring parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
McWilliams count among their blessings a fine family that includes
a daughter, D. J. McWilliams, a son and daughter-in-law, Bob
McWilliams and his wife, Kathy, and three grandchildren, Nicholas,
Heather, and Adam, with whom they treasure sharing the many special
occasions of life; and
WHEREAS, Looking back over the past five decades, Wayne and
Wanda McWilliams can savor a wealth of cherished family memories
and know that the strength of their love and commitment ensures that
many more joyful times await them; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Wayne and Wanda McWilliams on the
occasion of their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them
sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. McWilliams as an expression of high regard
by the Texas House of Representatives.
