 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Community leader and Justice of the Peace Ronnie L.
 Daniell of Van Zandt County is celebrating his 62nd birthday on
 August 27, 2009; and
 WHEREAS, A native of Grand Saline, Judge Daniell was born to
 Earl and Opal Smith Daniell; he graduated from Terrell High School
 in 1967 and went on to attend the Dallas Institute of Funeral
 Service and the Baptist Missionary Association Theological
 Seminary in Jacksonville; and
 WHEREAS, Judge Daniell has served as a pastor, funeral
 director, and law enforcement chaplain with the Van Zandt County
 Sheriff's Office and the local office of the Department of Public
 Safety Highway Patrol; in 2002, he was elected justice of the peace
 for Precinct 2, and he was reelected in 2006; and
 WHEREAS, Active in a number of worthwhile initiatives, Judge
 Daniell has served as chair of the Van Zandt County
 Sesquicentennial Music Program and co-chair of the Van Zandt County
 Sesquicentennial Choir, which has performed in the Capital Rotunda
 every Van Zandt County Day since 1999, and he was called upon to
 deliver the opening prayer in the Texas Senate on Van Zandt County
 Day in 2005; and
 WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Judge Daniell has enjoyed
 the love and support of his high school sweetheart and wife, Linda,
 and their life together has been blessed with a son, Troy, a
 daughter-in-law, Nicky, and two grandchildren, Garrett and Kenzie;
 and
 WHEREAS, Ronnie Daniell has demonstrated an unwavering
 commitment to his family, his faith, and his community throughout
 his life, and it is a pleasure to join with his loved ones in
 honoring him; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby congratulate Judge Ronnie L. Daniell on the
 occasion of his 62nd birthday and extend to him sincere best wishes
 for the future; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for Judge Daniell as an expression of high regard by the
 Texas House of Representatives.
