| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Community leader and Justice of the Peace Ronnie L. |

| 6 | 6 | | Daniell of Van Zandt County is celebrating his 62nd birthday on |

| 7 | 7 | | August 27, 2009; and |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | WHEREAS, A native of Grand Saline, Judge Daniell was born to |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | Earl and Opal Smith Daniell; he graduated from Terrell High School |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | in 1967 and went on to attend the Dallas Institute of Funeral |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | Service and the Baptist Missionary Association Theological |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | Seminary in Jacksonville; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Judge Daniell has served as a pastor, funeral |
|---|
| 14 | 14 | | director, and law enforcement chaplain with the Van Zandt County |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Sheriff's Office and the local office of the Department of Public |
|---|
| 16 | 16 | | Safety Highway Patrol; in 2002, he was elected justice of the peace |
|---|
| 17 | 17 | | for Precinct 2, and he was reelected in 2006; and |
|---|
| 18 | 18 | | WHEREAS, Active in a number of worthwhile initiatives, Judge |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Daniell has served as chair of the Van Zandt County |
|---|
| 20 | 20 | | Sesquicentennial Music Program and co-chair of the Van Zandt County |
|---|
| 21 | 21 | | Sesquicentennial Choir, which has performed in the Capital Rotunda |
|---|
| 22 | 22 | | every Van Zandt County Day since 1999, and he was called upon to |
|---|
| 23 | 23 | | deliver the opening prayer in the Texas Senate on Van Zandt County |
|---|
| 24 | 24 | | Day in 2005; and |
|---|
| 25 | 25 | | WHEREAS, In all of his endeavors, Judge Daniell has enjoyed |
|---|
| 26 | 26 | | the love and support of his high school sweetheart and wife, Linda, |
|---|
| 27 | 27 | | and their life together has been blessed with a son, Troy, a |
|---|
| 28 | 28 | | daughter-in-law, Nicky, and two grandchildren, Garrett and Kenzie; |
|---|
| 29 | 29 | | and |
|---|
| 30 | 30 | | WHEREAS, Ronnie Daniell has demonstrated an unwavering |
|---|
| 31 | 31 | | commitment to his family, his faith, and his community throughout |
|---|
| 32 | 32 | | his life, and it is a pleasure to join with his loved ones in |
|---|
| 33 | 33 | | honoring him; now, therefore, be it |
|---|
| 34 | 34 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 35 | 35 | | Legislature hereby congratulate Judge Ronnie L. Daniell on the |

| 36 | 36 | | occasion of his 62nd birthday and extend to him sincere best wishes |
