 R E S O L U T I O N
 WHEREAS, Friends and family were greatly saddened by the loss
 of William Richard Hirt of Yantis, who passed away on January 18,
 2009, at the age of 68; and
 WHEREAS, Bill Hirt was born on February 2, 1940, to Oscar and
 Helen Hirt in Pennsylvania; he earned a bachelor's degree in
 accounting from Washington University, and over the course of 32
 years, he worked as a business manager, contract negotiator, and
 compliance officer for Vought Aircraft Industries; and
 WHEREAS, After retiring, Mr. Hirt was active in the Vought
 Retirees Club and, as an avid bass fisherman, he was a lifetime
 member of the Vought Bass Club, which he further served as
 president; he also enjoyed hiking, traveling, and reading; Mr. Hirt
 contributed to the greater community through his service on the
 boards of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra Series in Greenville and
 the Greenville Entertainment Series, and he remained committed to
 his Lutheran faith throughout his life; and
 WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, this devoted family man
 enjoyed the love and support of his wife, Shirley, and he took
 pleasure in spending time with his children, Roy, Chris, Joel, and
 Tiffany, and his eight grandchildren, who knew him as "Papa Bill";
 and
 WHEREAS, Although William Hirt is deeply missed, those he
 leaves behind will forever hold dear their many fond memories of
 him; now, therefore, be it
 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
 Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of William Richard Hirt
 and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
 wife, Shirley Hirt; to his children, Roy Hirt, Chris Eason and his
 wife, Erin, the Reverend Joel Eason and his wife, Carolee, and
 Tiffany Bello and her husband, Anthony; to his grandchildren,
 Alexa, Cole, Jace, Brooke, Cassidy, and Elise Eason, Alexis Bello,
 and Nathan Riddle and his wife, Lisa; and to his other relatives and
 friends; and, be it further
 RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
 prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
 Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of William
 Hirt.
