H.R. No. 2848
R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Chris Sims has been named the 2009 Firefighter of
the Year by the Longview Fire Department; and
WHEREAS, Since joining the department in 2006, Mr. Sims has
demonstrated exemplary productivity and initiative; his positive
attitude and exceptional knowledge of the job have further earned
him the respect and admiration of his peers; and
WHEREAS, Firefighters perform difficult and dangerous work
in behalf of public safety, and with his outstanding service to the
Longview Fire Department, Chris Sims is contributing vitally to his
fellow residents; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Sims on being named the 2009
Firefighter of the Year by the Longview Fire Department and extend
to him sincere best wishes for continued success and happiness;
and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Sims as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
