R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Public education is an endeavor vital to all Texans,
and those individuals who devote themselves to the academic
development of our young people are helping to ensure that the
future of the Lone Star State rests in capable hands; and
WHEREAS, Teaching requires character, commitment, and
passion, and Maria Eva H. Riojas of the Roma Independent School
District has demonstrated those qualities in abundance throughout
her 36-year career; and
WHEREAS, Providing for the diverse educational needs of our
future leaders is an undertaking of paramount importance, and
Ms. Riojas embodies the spirit of service and dedication that are
the hallmarks of a good teacher; and
WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the
walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and
Ms. Riojas has worked to instill in her students a lifelong love of
learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives;
now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas
Legislature hereby commend Maria Eva H. Riojas for her invaluable
contributions to the students of the Roma Independent School
District and extend to her best wishes for continued success with
her important work; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Riojas as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
