| 5 | 5 | | WHEREAS, Public education is an endeavor vital to all Texans, |

| 6 | 6 | | and those individuals who devote themselves to the academic |

| 7 | 7 | | development of our young people are helping to ensure that the |
|---|
| 8 | 8 | | future of the Lone Star State rests in capable hands; and |
|---|
| 9 | 9 | | WHEREAS, Teaching requires character, commitment, and |
|---|
| 10 | 10 | | passion, and Maria Eva H. Riojas of the Roma Independent School |
|---|
| 11 | 11 | | District has demonstrated those qualities in abundance throughout |
|---|
| 12 | 12 | | her 36-year career; and |
|---|
| 13 | 13 | | WHEREAS, Providing for the diverse educational needs of our |

| 14 | 14 | | future leaders is an undertaking of paramount importance, and |
|---|
| 15 | 15 | | Ms. Riojas embodies the spirit of service and dedication that are |

| 16 | 16 | | the hallmarks of a good teacher; and |

| 17 | 17 | | WHEREAS, The influence of an educator extends far beyond the |

| 18 | 18 | | walls of the classroom and the duration of the school year, and |
|---|
| 19 | 19 | | Ms. Riojas has worked to instill in her students a lifelong love of |

| 20 | 20 | | learning that will serve them well in every aspect of their lives; |

| 22 | 22 | | RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 81st Texas |

| 23 | 23 | | Legislature hereby commend Maria Eva H. Riojas for her invaluable |

| 24 | 24 | | contributions to the students of the Roma Independent School |

| 25 | 25 | | District and extend to her best wishes for continued success with |
